Update as promised :)
Hi all,
I really hope that this blog is working for you all - I still receive a lot of emails from members who are not aware of this web site, how come? I have mentioned it so many times in group........
Hope you are all okay and stayed safe and warm this last week. I am truly sorry that you couldnt come to my group to get weighed - perhaps you made it to another one.
Try to stay focused this week especially for those that didn't get weighed as it sooooooo easy to slip. Use that food diary online or on paper (make your own!) - and see what really is happening.
I'm there for you - give me a ring or send me a email please if you need any help. (the course seems to go on until 6pm so am not home until 6.30pm ish).
Be good - thinking of you all

PS don't forget to bring in that hamper food, a week after next (16/12) - to go towards the hampers for the Christmas draw. You might be the one that could win it! :)

GROUP CANCELLATION DUE TO SNOW
Hi All
Am really sorry but I have decided to shut the group tomorrow and that means ALL the sessions, as many of you have phoned and told me that the weather in Crowborough is extremely poor and that they are expecting more snow tonight.
Please keep checking this website for the latest updates.
The course is going ok - they have pushed me to the limits that I never experienced before. Thinking of you all tomorrow, dont think that this is a week off - the scales will be there next week :)
Will do another blog over the weekend for you all.

OH OH!!!!!
Hi all,
Sorry was going to do the blog today but unfortunately my Slimming World Laptop has broken now :( I can't access the database at all.
Hopefully I will have a laptop again by Wednesday.....in the meantime I will keep on trying to get onto the database and then do this blog.
So just to remind you that we have a weigh in only this week. If you do want to speak to me then please phone me after 7pm or email me.
I just want to wish you a good weekend - and hope its less stressed then mine (more grey haires now......)

Hi all,
As you might have heard we are getting a cold spell of weather - so can you please keep checking this blog for latest update on the group openings. If there is too much snow on Thursday I will have to shut the group.
Anyway hope you all had a good weekend - I see lots of comments on Facebook :) - don't forget that food diary that might help you.
Looking forward to seeing you all on Thursday - hope the snow will stay away until Friday instead.

Thursday 18 November 2010 results:
This week we exchanged some favourite recipes in group - I am sure it would have given those that stayed something to think about and perhaps try some of these recipes out.
The morning group lost this week 33lbs and gained 11 lbs
The Slimmer of the Week this week is Andrew Rose with a 2.5lb weight loss - well done to him!!! :)
Some brilliant awards were given out too:
Kath Bishop achieved her 1/2 Stone Award, Rachel Roberts her 1 Stone Award and Sarah Wade achieved her 5.5 Stone Award!!! - heartfelt congratulations to all three of them!!! :)
The Evening group lost 19.5 lbs and gained 12.5lbs
Slimmer of the Week for the 5.30 session are: Sadie Dann and John Doust with 1.5 lb weight loss and for the 7.00pm session the winner is Hilary Maskell with also 1.5lb weight loss - Well done!!
Just a reminder for the following weeks:
Thursday 25 November: normal times - please bring a syn free food in (store cupboard) towards the Christmas Hampers, which I wlll draw on the 23rd of December (you have to stay to win); for every item you donate you will be given a raffle ticket that goes towards the draw.
Thursday 2 December: weigh in only: from 10.00 - 10.45 am and 18.00 -19.30
Thursday 9 December: as above - weigh in only
I will be available to you in the evenings (after 7pm) if you need any help or support during these two weeks.
It is due to my other job that I can't be there for those two weeks, sorry)

And a kind reminder to those that have notified me or booked time off - you only get six weeks hols/illness with Slimming World a year (and that year starts when you started with Slimming World). If the weeks have finished and you still wish to take time off the back fee will fall in place.
Anyway - I will try to make some of that quiche next week for you all to try in the morning group and I will print the recipe off as well for those that haven't got it yet.

Thursday 11 November 2010 results:
Well....................what a fab group we had in the morning session!!!! so many of you stayed which was great!!! When merging the later sessions in December we should have the same buzz as we get in the morning one!
I hope you all learned a little bit about your Healthy Extra's, don't forget to go to http://www.slimming-world.com/, click on 'for group members only' enter your pin and print off that list with all those Healthy Extra updates - there are so many choices!!! it is easy to get stuck with the same Healthy Extra, however please try to vary it a little bit! I think most of you liked the Finn Crisps I brought in - couldn't hear myself talking with all that stereo crunching!!! :)

Carolyn Cro, Joanne Thomas and Sue Hodgkinson achieved their 1/2 Stone award (that is a whopping 1.5 Stone between them!) - well done to you three!
Natalie Bushell achieved her 1 Stone Award and was also the Slimmer of the Week for the morning group with a fab weight loss of 5lbs! - seeeeeee, it can be done!
(well done by the way!!)
Gemma McKenzie achieved her 3.5 Stone Award (what a wonderful achievement!) - if you need a bit of inspiration then please talk to Gemma, she is following the Green Choice as she is vegetarian, so if you want any ideas then please talk to her! I'm sure she doesn't mind to help you!
The overall weight loss for the morning group was 52.5lbs and you gained in total 20.5lbs.
The evening session had some awards too :)
Keith Taylor achieved his 1 Stone Award!
Pat James achieved her Target!
The slimmer of the week for the 5.30 session was: Sadie Dann with a weight loss of 3.5lbs
The slimmer of the week for the 7.00 session was: Amy Silk with a weight loss of 3lbs
Total weight loss was 31.5lbs and the total gain was 13lbs.
I just want to say thank you to those that did make the effort to stay - I will keep saying: those that stay are doing generally much better with their weight loss journey to those that don't stay. Please don't feel you need to leave because you gained, we all gain at times, then it is time to get the help from your group!
I did mention it in one of the sessions that I would like to do the Christmas Hampers again this year, I would ask you to bring something in (low in Syns, prefered under 5.0) or mainly free foods/Healthy extras that can be kept.
For every item you donate you will receive a raffle ticket that will be entered for the Christmas competiton draw of the Hampers on the 23rd of December 2010 (you do have to stay to win it).

First of all an apology for having taken so long to post this! Like the rest of you I had a very busy week last week.
We had some fabulous awards last week in group, it was such a shame that I couldn't hand them out personally to some of you.
Janet Johnson half stone award
Sally-Ann also half stone award
Andrew 1 stone award
Mandy Gumbrell also 1 stone award

Thursday 28 October group results:
First of all, well done to those that came and especially to those that stayed to group this week. I am very aware that live is hectic at times and that we can't always stay to group, however results have shown that those that do bother to stay are doing generally much better with their weight loss journey then to those that don't bother to stay. If it isn't working for you, you will need to ask yourself why - Food Optimising hasn't generally changed (only for the better by giving you more choices), so what is happening in your life right now?
Your weight does matter to me too you know.......We or I can't help if you run away.
Total weight loss for the 10.00 am group is: 29 lbs
Total weight gain for the 10.00 am group is: 13.5 lbs
Total weight loss for the evening session is: 19.5 lbs
Total weight gain for the evening session is: 13.5 lbs
Slimmers of the week are: Nikki Davis 4lbs, Sadie Dann 2lbs and Natalie Bushell with 3.5lbs - Really well done!!!!
Slimmers of the month for October are: Mel Hagon 7lbs, Keith Taylor 8lbs and Amy Silk with 10lbs - they are fab weight losses!!!
For those that stayed had the opportunity to taste some of my horrible witch brewh (did you check your tongue in the mirror afterwards? - it should have been blue hehehehehehe! - only joking!) Some of you asked if I could put the recipe on this blog so here we go:
1 2ltr bottle of diet lemonade
some flavoured tea bags (I used the blackberry/blueberry one) - put 1 teabag per liter, so 2 in this case.
chopped fruit (I used apples/oranges)
Optinal: plastic animals because it is Halloween time
Pour the lemonade into a bowl/jug - add the tea bags and let them defuse until your required taste. If you are not using this straight away I suggest you pour the contents without the teabags back into the bottle so you keep the fizz. When required pour into a bowl, add the fruit (and plastic animals) and hey presto!!! a nice syn free drink and something nice for those that like to have a drink but are driving. Also brilliant for children.
We did a small brain storm on some of the Christmas foods which was really interesting. During the month November/December I will do a print out of some of those foods and hand them out in group, so stay if you want a copy!
We have only 8 more weigh ins before Christmas......... are you going to make your target? hope so!
Will keep you posted during the week. If you want to leave a comment your more then welcome to, however I think you need to become a member (follower) in order to do so.

Mid-week update 26-10-2010
Hi all,
Well it's a nice wet Tuesday afternoon!! what are you all doing? hope you are all being good so far! If you need that bit of mid-week support don't forget to go onto the members website via Slimming Worlds main website by using your pin.
Try to stay focused - I know it isn't easy at times; however if you are struggling now, how are you going to cope with Christmas? Did you set a target yet on our Christmas tree? If not then come and see me - I will give you a heart to write your promise down (it has to come from your own heart).
This week in group we are going to work on Christmas food - if you want to have some help with this then please try to stay to group. It is only one hour of your time to set you up for the rest of the week. Your input can really help some one that is struggling in group or visa versa.
Anyway, thinking of you all

Thursday 21 October 2010 group results:
What a fantastic group we had!!! Thank you to those that brought in some food for the morning session food tasting - all of it was very yummy!!!
we had some fresh fruit, pig in blankets, curry with rice, quorn sausages, tuna & potato salad, cheese & lentil wedges (still need to put syn value together for this), snack a jacks, dips (from the new extra easy Christmas book) and cut up vegetables, if I have forgotten anything then please leave it in the comment box below.
The morning group lost this week a wonderful 41.5 lbs and only gained 9 lbs - so really well done to everyone!!! :)
The evening group lost a wonderful 47.5lbs and gained 8lbs so even better!!!!
Am really proud of you all - really well done!!!
The Slimmers of the week were: Sue King, Carol Tipler and Natalie Bushell.
I know it is half term next week - don't let this affect your weight loss please you are doing so well now. I would really appreciate it if you could just get weighed if you are not able to stay because of the children or grandchildren.
